Agricultural Oil Uses
The agricultural oils are premium quality multi-functional agricultural oils specifically formulated for use as universal agricultural oils. Highly sophisticated and formulated for use in the engine, transmission, final drives, & hydraulics of farm equipment as well as compressors, these agricultural oils are blended to give first class performance in all these applications.
Agricultural oils can be used as a replacement for many of the specific grades which are currently used to lubricate the transmission systems of farm machinery.
The agricultural oils can be relied on to give excellent hydraulic transmission performance.
Agricultural oils are products which may be used in the
majority of tractors and similar related farm equipment. These products were developed
for use in engines, differentials, hydraulics systems, transmissions and wetbrake.
Barton petroleum agricultural oils are blended form high quality base stocks and superior additive packages to provide a product which is particularly fluid at low temperatures and yet will give maximum protection to bearings and other working surfaces at high
operating temperatures. Agricultural oils contain additives which maintain a good standard of engine cleanliness as well as minimising squawk and/or chatter from wet brakes.
The agricultural oils are designed for use in diesel and/or naturally aspirated
petrol engines under full load conditions. The agricultural oils reliably lubricates the critical
zones of engines under the most difficult operating conditions. extremely high
thermal loading conditions. The agricultural oils are particularly suitable for use in heavy duty turbocharged diesel engines fitted to modern tractors.
The agricultural oils range are formulated from selected premium
quality petroleum base stocks and additive treated to inhibit oxidation, corrosion and
foaming. They provide outstanding performance over a wide temperature range as well as
under conditions of severe load and stress.
The agricultural oils are manufactured using highly refined oils
with high viscosity indices. These are blended with special additives to provide
resistance to foaming, oxidation stability, low pour points, rust prevention and also
anti-wear properties. The agricultural oils are recommended for hydraulic and circulating systems where a high grade oil with excellent wear resistance is
required in order to reduce wear of working parts in the pump, valves etc. used.
These agricultural oils have good demulsification characteristics to provide resistance to
sludge formation and the development of acidity.
The agricultural oils possess high natural antiwear properties and high viscosity index which remains shear stable over a long period of time. Because of the uniform synthetic structure and suitable inhibitors, the agricultural oils show excellent resistance to ageing. There is no formation of hard residue even at high temperatures.
